How to Setup iCloud for Beginners


New to iPhone? or using iPhone/iPad but don't know how to set up and use iCloud Drive on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Don't worry here is the step by step procedure to set up your own iCloud drive.

iCloud is already installed on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

How to set up iCloud on iPhone and iPad

When you start using your iPhone you'll be asked to use iCloud Drive to store your data. Even timely give notification to backup your device. If you allow using iCloud Drive to store data you have done almost all the steps. If you press No then don't worry you can still set up manually by following below steps.


1. Open the Settings app of your iPhone.

2. Click on Apple ID banner.

3. Now you'll see an iCloud.

4. Toggle the iCloud Drive switch on.

How you can Set up iCloud on your Mac

When you start using your Mac you'll be asked to use iCloud Drive to store your data. If you allow using iCloud Drive to store data you have done almost all the steps. If you press No then don't worry you can still set up manually by following below steps.


1. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your Mac screen.

2. Now you'll see a System Preferences Menu.

3. Click on the iCloud icon

4. Enter your Apple ID and the password. If you don't have Apple ID then create it first.

5. Now click Sign In

6. To use iCloud for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, and Safari click on the checkbox.

7. Now click on Use Find my Mac

8. Click Next

9. Click Allow when appears to allow Find My Mac to know the location of your Mac.

10. Now enter your Apple ID to set up iCloud Keychain.

11. Now you have to Request Approval to confirm from your trusted device like iPhone, iPad.

12. Login to any iPhone, iPad using the Apple ID.

13. Click OK on the Mac.
